Ms. Jerline Qualls

Jerline Qualls, age 77 of Sims, passed away May 21, 2013 at National Park Hospital in Hot Springs, AR. She was born September 25, 1935 to the late Audie and Bertha (Gray) Shaw. She was a member of the Story Church of God, served as the 2011 Montgomery County Possum Queen and was also a member of Possum Unlimited.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leon Qualls, Grandson Derick Sellier and Brothers Odell and Hewlos Shaw. Visitation will be Friday May 24, 2013 6-8 p.m at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Saturday May 25, 2013 at Story Church of God at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Rocky Cemetery in Sims. Pallbearers: Matthew Lawrence, Bubba James, Kenneth Dougherty, Larry Nolen, Mikie Sellier, Jason Qualls, Grannison Sellier and Bill McKimm. Honorary Pallbearers: Jim Chance, Staff of Montgomery County Assisted Living, Dub and Wanda Clenney, Dr. Owens, Dr. Brady, Staff of Montgomery County Nursing Home, Members of the Story Church of God, Karen Branch, Pauline Rowland, DeVonia Tiner and Kinne Gaston. Arrangements were made under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home of Mount Ida.
